President and CEO

Under Mark's leadership, Aha! has developed an industry-leading predictive and collaborative analytics services platform for partners and users to rapidly realize the benefits of analytics for businesses of all sizes. Leveraging Mark's global experience and knowledge, Aha! has positioned itself as a key market and technology innovator within the Analytics and Business Intelligence communities. He has built a world-class team that fuses software with management science and merges operational research with the critical focus of creating durable value.

Before joining Aha! Mark was Executive Vice-president of Global Solutions and Technology for NTT/Verio, where he developed and led the implementation of a global strategy for the company's businesses, solutions, and technology. As SVP of Tanning Technology Corporation, Mark led that company's transformation from a low-margin, competency-based custom IT systems developer to a high-value IT solutions provider.

Previously, Mark was Perot System's global electronic business practice leader and was also founder and president of TimeØ, a subsidiary of Perot Systems, a market-leading company that forged the corporate digital marketplace industry.

As founder and president of Covia Technologies, a division of Galileo International, Mark led development and deployment of the Communications Integrator, the leader in the emerging message-oriented middleware industry. Under Mark's leadership, Covia Technologies won many high-profile Fortune 500 customers and strategic partners in several vertical markets.

As SVP and CIO of Covia Partnership and Galileo (now Travelport) and the youngest-ever VP of United Airlines, Mark played a pivotal role in building and deploying the Apollo airline reservation and global distribution system, considered one of the world's most advanced point-of-sale transaction and analytics systems.

Mark has received numerous industry awards and has written several white papers and articles that appeared in the Harvard Business Review and Middleware Spectra and wrote The Digital Marketplace Lexicon, cited by USA Today as a top business book.

Bruce Bacon
Vice-president, Product and Marketing

Bruce Bacon leads product management and marketing at Aha!, encompassing the design of the company's market offerings, the Axel Management System functionality, and SaaS/Cloud delivery approaches.

Bruce brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in high-technology companies in product definition, corporate strategy, business development, and marketing. Previously, he held positions at Health Insurance Select, PointOne Personal Genetic Systems, the Global Healthcare Exchange, NETdelivery, Covia Technologies/Galileo International, BMC Software, and IBM. In past positions, Bruce has managed the success of research and development, sales, and marketing organizations.

Bruce has played a pivotal role in numerous companies and products. He was instrumental in: creating the Canadian postal service's nationwide electronic post office system; developing the leading Internet-based supply-chain integration offering in the healthcare environment; creating an electronic bill presentment and payment system for a major bill outsourcing company; and developing an Individual healthcare tooling company, a bioinformatics product strategy designed to bring genetic and clinical information together for use in the mainstream healthcare markets, and medical devices for surgery and hospital use.

Bruce has a BS degree in Computer Information systems from Central Missouri State University and completed a Graduate E-Commerce Certificate Program at the University of Denver.

Peter Gallanis
Chief Architect and CTO

As Aha!'s Chief Architect, Peter Gallanis is responsible for the overall technical vision, design, implementation, and operations for the Aha! software and services platform.

Peter has more than 35 years of information systems experience in a variety of environments and markets, including research, application programming, systems programming, database administration, and design and implementation of enterprise infrastructure projects. Peter has led numerous architectural review, risk assessment and mitigation, application performance design, and production management projects. Peter's expertise spans a wide range of hardware and operating systems, from mainframe IBM systems to massive parallel processing UNIX-based environments, as well as project and development management.

Before co-founding Aha!, Peter performed development, testing, sales, and management roles and was a key consulting engineer for strategic architecture and research at Galileo International, a leading travel and transportation automation firm. Peter has also held leadership positions at several other companies including Intel, where he supported the commercial sales team during a major sales effort, as well as a startup that worked with Philips, Apple, Grolier Encyclopedia, and Knowledge-Set to produce an Apple II co-processor card that ran the first CD-ROM-based application on Apple II hardware.

Cathy Cupp
General Counsel

Cathy Cupp serves as General Counsel for Aha! and has been responsible for the legal matters of the company, including all contracts, since its inception.

Before joining Aha!, Cathy was the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Galileo International and a participating partner at the Chicago law firm Chapman and Cutler. While at Galileo, Cathy was a founding member and board member of ITAC, the International Trade Association of CRSs (computer reservation systems).

Cathy holds a BA degree from Purdue University and a JD degree from the Valparaiso University School of Law.

Leslie Vossmer
Director of Finance

Leslie Vossmer provides accounting and financial modeling support for Aha! Software.

Before joining Aha! Leslie was Financial Controller of Network Operations for Galileo International and Finance Manager for Citicorp Diners Club.

Leslie graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS degree in Business Administration and an MS degree in Accounting.

Aha! Advisory Team
Craig Murphy, PhD

Craig provides guidance in analytics product development and client product delivery. Craig has extensive leadership experience and depth in technology and analytics. His experience includes development and management of large, high-performance, mission-critical transaction processing systems, development of enterprise architectures, and management of complex environments through analytics.

Craig served as SVP and CTO at Sabre and was also VP of all corporate technology for Galileo International. His accomplishments include world-class analytics development in electronic fares processing optimization algorithms and revenue management research.

Craig's first-hand experience in developing travel booking engines and associated high-volume backend management analytics has been instrumental in developing Aha!'s travel and transportation vertical. Craig's technology background also contributes to Aha!'s SaaS focus and large-system data acquisition requirements.

Craig holds a BSME degree from the University of Texas and a PhD degree in Economics and Operations Research Mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines.

Tom Holloran

Tom Holloran provides guidance in analytics product development and client product delivery, defining operations research/management science approaches to client business problems and implementing client applications of the Aha! Axel Analytics Management System.

Tom has held executive positions in several technology-leading corporations. He was VP of Telecommunications and Engineering for Internet data center startup Relera, VP of Operations for Perot Systems ecommerce subsidiary TimeØ, and SVP of Network Services for The Sabre Group. Tom also held several positions in performance engineering, software development, network services, and 24/7 operations for the United Airlines/Covia/Apollo/Galileo companies.

Tom has received several awards recognizing his accomplishments in analytics. He was a finalist for the Franz Edelman Prize, awarded annually for the best application of operations research/management science worldwide. He was recognized by United Airlines' CEO for his innovation of a fuel-tankering optimization system that served United for over 10 years and was estimated to have saved over $250 million. Tom has also been the recipient of several awards for his work in system performance engineering and process optimization.

Tom holds BS and MS degrees in Economics and Operations Research Mathematics from the Colorado School of Mines.
